The purpose of this newsletter is to share information regarding the Jefferson County JVS.

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome December!

As we enter into a new month full of celebrations and holiday cheer, it is the perfect time to also reflect on how far our students have come this year. From developing and perfecting skills in their career pathways to making great strides in their academic classes, our students continue to grow and impress us every day.

Equally important is the dedication and support of our staff and our families, whose guidance, encouragement, and expertise help make this growth possible.

With just a few short weeks left before Christmas break, we are also approaching the end of our second quarter on December 19. We are excited to see our students finish this semester putting forth their very best efforts and moving into the new year with confidence and readiness for our second semester and the opportunities ahead.

As 2025 comes to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a festive holiday season and a Happy New Year, that is full of joy, peace, and togetherness.

Best to all,

Heather A. Hoover

Building Improvements

New Ramp
New Ramp

Carpentry and Heavy Equipment Build Accessibility Together

Mr. Lucas' and Mr. Materna's classes team up together to replace an outdated walkway with a brand-new, fully accessible ramp. Heavy Equipment students started the project by tearing out the old concrete, and carpentry students then constructed and installed forms to support the new concrete. Both programs then worked side-by-side to pour and finish the new ramp.

This much-needed improvement not only provides another accessible entrance to our building, but also showcases the power of using our own students’ skills to benefit our campus. Their hard work turned a real need into a hands-on learning experience that will serve our school community for years to come.

Electrical Trades

Electrical Trades Students Power Up Campus with Up Grades

Mr. Davis' Electrical Trades students have been hard at work completing important electrical updates around our building. From installing new circuits and updated receptacles to making safety and efficiency upgrades, these students are gaining real, hands-on experience while improving our campus at the same time.

Projects like this not only strengthen their technical skills but also highlight the value of learning by doing and creating a better, safer environment for everyone who walks through our halls.
